INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND BUSINESS


Profile of the Program

The aim of the International Trade and Business Department is to equip our students with knowledge of, and capability for, international business at undergraduate level. The program also enables students to attain a comprehension of business skills which are essential at all managerial levels in today`s dynamic global business environment. The crux and the most crucial mission of the department is to arise global mindset in all our students.

Qualification Awarded

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Bachelor of International Trade and Business Administration

Level of Qualification

This is a Bachelor’s Degree (First Cycle) program.

Specific Admission Requirements

Student admission for this undergraduate program is made through university entrance examinations (YGS-LYS) prepared in the framework of the regulations set by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK). International students are accepted to this undergraduate program according to the score of one of the international exams they take such as SAT,ACT etc. or according to their high school diploma score. Exchange student admission is made according to the requirements determined by bilateral agreements signed by BAU and the partner university. Visiting students can enroll for the courses offered in this program upon the confirmation of the related academic unit. Additionally, they need to prove their English language level since the medium of instruction atBAU is English.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

The students studying in this undergraduate program are required to have a Cumulative Grade Points Avarage (Cum. GPA) of not less than 2.00/4.00 and no failing grades in order to graduate. The minimum number of ECTS credits required for graduation is 240.

Recognition of Prior Learning

At Bahcesehir University , full-time students can be exempted from some courses within the framework of the related by laws. If the content of the course previously taken in another institution is equivalent to the course offered at BAU, then the student can be exempted from this course with the approval of the related faculty/graduate school after the evaluation of the course content.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

This knowledge will enable students to manage global business operations more efficiently, conduct business in foreign countries due to their international outlook. Students will be equipped with databases, take more responsibility on an international level, gain required talents to be successful in unfamiliar global environments, discover global market opportunities and increase their company’s globalization process.

Access to Further Studies

The students graduating from this program may apply to second cycle (Master's degree) programmes.

1 Has theoretical and practical knowledge on management, business, trade, economy, entrepreneurship, innovation, sustainable development related to International Trade and Business and can use this information
2 Can collect data from different sources in the global business world and successfully apply research techniques, use information and communication technologies.
3 Can analyze opportunities and threats with strategic thinking skills by using different resources and channels in the ever-changing global business world.
4 Can communicate orally and in writing with a good knowledge of English grammar.
5 He / she can transfer the knowledge and skills he / she has acquired in the field to the relevant people in written and oral form and evaluate them critically.
6 Adopts the principles of business ethics with the awareness of professional responsibility and can apply these principles within the framework of legal rules in the field of global trade and business.
7 He / she can collaborate in and out of the field, take responsibility, respect cultural differences and have ethical values.
8 Has sufficient awareness of social rights, justice, cultural values, environmental awareness, occupational health and safety.
9 With the lifelong learning skill acquired, she/he can identify learning needs and improve herself/himself
