Course Objectives: This course; It aims to provide information about the history, traditions and preparation methods of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. In this context, beverage culture in the world, cultural history of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, preparation and serving methods are covered in detail. Students who successfully complete this course; knows the process and effects of beverages in the world and gastronomy history. Gains knowledge about the process from production to serving of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
Students who complete this course successfully will be learned;

• The production process of distilled beverages
• The ingredients that are used to produce beverages
• Depending on circumstance they will be able to taste (non-alcoholic) some of the beverages and experience the differences of taste.
• Food and beverage pairing and learn about cultural effects.
• The variation of Serving Glasses

Course Content

This course covers fundamental information about beverages. It also focus production process of beverages and how to serve them.
