INTERNATIONAL FINANCE


Profile of the Program

International Finance Program is designed to educate experts, who can satisfy the demand of financial markets, by providing necessary theoretical and practical background in the globalized world. Additionally, this program aims to educate experts who have managerial skills and are ready to assume responsibility in decision making process.

Qualification Awarded

The students who successfully complete the program are awarded the degree of Bachelor of International Finance

Level of Qualification

This is a Bachelor’s Degree (First Cycle) program.

Specific Admission Requirements

Student admission for this undergraduate program is made through university entrance examinations (YGS-LYS) prepared in the framework of the regulations set by Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK). International students are accepted to this undergraduate program according to the score of one of the international exams they take such as SAT,ACT etc. or according to their high school diploma score. Exchange student admission is made according to the requirements determined by bilateral agreements signed by BAU and the partner university. Visiting students can enroll for the courses offered in this program upon the confirmation of the related academic unit. Additionally, they need to prove their English language level since the medium of instruction atBAU is English.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

A student is required to have a minimum cumulative grade point average of at least 2.00/4.00 and no failing grades

Recognition of Prior Learning

At Bahcesehir University , full-time students can be exempted from some courses within the framework of the related by laws. If the content of the course previously taken in another institution is equivalent to the course offered at BAU, then the student can be exempted from this course with the approval of the related faculty/graduate school after the evaluation of the course content.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

Graduates of International Finance department are eligible for positions in many international and domestic companies, banks and financial intermediaries. Graduates may also be employed in public enterpriees like Istanbul Stock Exchange, Capital Markets Board of Turkey, Centeral Bank, Undersecretariat of Treasury, International Monetary Bank and World Trade Organization.

Access to Further Studies

The students graduating from this program may apply to second cycle (Master's degree) programmes.

6 To develop solutions for managerial problems by understanding the requirements of international financial markets

8 To be able to make decisions both locally and internationally by knowing the effects of globalization on business and social life
9 To have the competencies of the digital age and to use the necessary financial applications
10 To be able to use at least one foreign language both for communication and academic purposes
11 To understand the importance of business ethics and to take decisions by knowing the legal and ethical consequences of their activities in the academic world and business life
12 To develop an objective criticism in business and academic life and having a perspective to self-criticize
