Course Objectives: | One of the course's objectives is to help students understand different legal concepts. However, the main purpose is to lay a foundation for the students to use in their future professional careers. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; 1. The relevance and role of social order norms in social life; 2. The essential characteristics of moral rules and their relationship with legal rules; 3. The fundamental characteristics of religious rules and the history of secularization in the Republic of Turkey, as well as how religious concerns are addressed by legal regulations; and 4. The various types of penalties and their effects in this respect. 5. The procedure of enforcing legal rules as well as concepts of burden of proof, presumptions, and interpretation 6. The sources of law and their fundamental qualities 7. Turkish judicial organization and court power, notably the supreme courts; 8. World legal systems and their distinguishing characteristics; 9. The basis for the division between public and private law 10. Fundamental principles of the law of persons; 11. Fundamental principles of family law and its institutions; 12. Fundamental principles of succession law; 13. Fundamental principles of property law and 14. Fundamental principles of the law of obligation |
