Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: Students are introduced with analytical modeling tools, and they are asked to model both deterministic and probabilistic business problems using these tools. Spreadsheet software are gaining an undeniable importance/usage both in modeling and solving problems in today’s organizations. Thus, in this course students are introduced to spreadsheet modeling concepts and they are expected to use these software at a moderate level.
Course Content: Description of Operations Research and modeling are introduced. Topics that are discussed include: Deterministic models such as Linear Programing, Integer Programming, Multi-criteria programming, and Probabilistic modeling tools, simulation and queueing.
