Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: Comprehension of economic life, being understood of economic concepts used in actual life and learning of rationality in economic decision processes. Getting general knowledge about Gross National Product, Money, International Economic Activities, Economic Growth, Economic Thought and Systems
Course Content: In this course; economic life, economic activity, actors of economic activity, behaviour forms of these actors, utility and profit maximization, formation of national income , Money and Its functions, economic growth and economic systems will be taught at initial level

Week Subject Related Preparation
1) To analysis at collected level the economic life,general concepts, economic activity and its actors, scarcity law, behavior of homoeconomicus, Students will be directed to do some preparation about the forthcoming subjects one week before.
2) Market, demand and elements affecting demand,Supply and elemets affecting supply, market equilibrium, changes in market balance Students will be directed to do some preparation about the forthcoming subjects one week before.
3) Elasticity, supply and demand elasticities, calculation forms and Its comments Students will be directed to do some preparation about the forthcoming subjects one week before.
4) Market Analyses: Taxes, Subsidies, Price Flooring and Price Ceilings Students will be directed to do some preparation about the forthcoming subjects one week before
5) Consumers Optimal Choice: Utility analysis, indifference curves, and budget line, determination of consumer balance Students will be directed to do some preparation about the forthcoming subjects one week before.
6) Production theory: law of diminishing returns, isoquant curve, cost line, determination of long run production cost Students will be directed to do some preparation about the forthcoming subjects one week before.
7) Markets: Perfect Competition and Imperfect Competition. Students will be directed to do some preparation about the forthcoming subjects one week before.
