Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği
| Course Objectives: | The objective of this course is to provide students with a legal and critical understanding of the major concepts and issues of International Humanitarian Law and to give all students an opportunity to develop their own analytic work. As for analytic work, students are given opportunity to discuss in-depth some humanitarian crises such as, the wars in Bosnia and Croatia, The Rwandan genocide, operations in Afghanistan, and Iraq and the implications of the war on terrorism on the humanitarian agenda. |
| Course Content: | Introduction to the International Humanitarian Law; International & non-international armed conflict, Persons protected under international humanitarian law, Humanitarian Law in practice. |
