Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: Learning the tests that should be done before the exercise program (Fitness Screening Test). With this test we will see the different needs of different people. We will work on those needs. Learning the roadmap required when planning an exercise. With this information, you will be able to plan different programs and roadmap for different people.
1. To learn movement principles.
Breath, reverse extension, control, high plans in movements, movements.
2. Fitness Screening Test – you will learn about pre-exercise tests.
3. You will learn 7 categories of motion.
4. You will be able to design a program of beginner, intermediate and advanced courses.
5. Mastering beginner pilates moves.
6. Master the points that the instructor should pay attention to in the Pilates class.
Course Content: Students will learn about the fitness tests that should be done before starting that first lesson for patients. With these 15 exercises, they will learn the physical needs of the people and will learn which exercises will meet these needs. Students will learn the principles and the exercies that should be applied in each lesson. Students will learn how to prepare a fluent exercise session by combining these exercises that the person needs, both in theory and in practice. Students will learn how to make 3 different course programs for their patients: beginner level, intermediate level and advanced level.

1) Introduction to Course, Movement Principles. 1-Breath 2-Axial Alongation 3-Control 4-Spine Articulation
2) Movement Principles. 5-Head,neck,shoulder organization 6- Alignment 7- Weight bearing on the extremities 8- Movement integration
3) 7 Categories of Movements 1- Exercises with lower extremities lying on the back 2- Exercises with upper extremities lying on the back 3- Exercises with spine movements 4- Exercises performed by weight bearing on the upper extremity
4) 7 Movement Category 5- Exercises performed with the upper or lower extremities in the sitting position 6- Exercises for whole body integration 7- Exercises performed with the lower extremities while standing.
5) Preparation of an introductory exercise session for a healthy individual, using 7 movement categories and principles.

7) Cotraindications, exercises that should not be done in case of injuries
8) Midterm Exam
9) "Fitness Screening Test". This test consists of 15 exercises. This test is done to understand people's needs
10) Preparation of a session (exercise program) suitable for a patient/client with a fitness screening. (Theoric)
11) Preparation of a session (exercise program) suitable for a patient/client with a fitness screening. (Practice)
12) Students will practice in the class apply the fitness screening tests to each other. Will discuss about the results and the needs of the clients.
13) Performing a full session on the mat with apparatus.
14) Performing a full session with pilates equipment. General Review
