Course Objectives:

The aim of this course is to teach the chemical, physical, mechanical and biological properties of materials used in dentistry,
The classification of impression and restoration materials used in prosthetic dental treatment, their clinical and laboratory use,
The structures and manipulation properties of the base materials and amalgam filling materials used in restorative dental treatments,
Root canal instruments, irrigation solutions, endodontic medicaments and pastes used in endodontic dental treatments,
The biocompatibility of dental materials and measuring biocompatibility,
Testing of dental materials.
