Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: This course aims to improve dentistry student's knowledge about medical biology and genetics in medical context. Fundamentals of human genetics and genomics as applied to health and disease will be thought to improve the students' diagnostic and research skills.
Course Content: Medical Biology is a discipline that uses molecular biology, cell biology and molecular genetics fields to understand and explain underlying cause of medical situations. Thus, the molecular and genetic mechanisms of a healthy cell is studied in order to understand the causes of a diseased state.
