Course Objectives:

The aim of this course is to make students aware of the production and use of contact lenses.

Contact lenses, basic terminology, Soft contact lens materials, Gas permeable hard lens materials, Soft contact lens designs, Gas permeable hard lens designs, Colored contact lenses, Prostatic contact lenses, Types and designs of toric contact lenses, Types and designs of prespiopia contact lenses, Types and designs of pediatric contact lenses, Afakin definition, properties and designs of related lenses, Definition of keratoconus, features and designs of related lenses, features and advantages of UV blocking lenses, Contact lens care systems and complications, Recognition of contact lens prescription properties; topics
