Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: 1. To provide the student with tools and methods to design, plan, and
analyze transportation systems

2. To teach students how to design a highway project including all
major phases of planning and design

3. Introduce students to basic transportation planning steps

4. Introduce students to various urban traffic engineering design and
problems.
Course Content: Transportation system characteristics, traffic engineering, traffic operations,
transportation planning, highway geometric design, pavement design,
highway safety

1) Adequate knowledge in mathematics, science and civil engineering; the ability to use theoretical and practical knowledge in these areas in complex engineering problems.
