Course Objectives: This course aims to make students investigate the history of media technologies ad well as their roles within social relations and social structure.

- will develop an analytical skill to contextualize the technological and technical developments within social, political and economic conditions of societies.
-demonstrate an understanding of the history and future of digital journalism.
- will be able to interpret the relationship between empirical power of some countries today and in the past and the technologies those countries invent, develop and sell to the other regions of the world.
- will grasp technological changes and the relations due to with their effects on global and local agents.
-learn about the basic usability criteria of digital news platforms

Course Content

This course introduces the basic concepts, principles and practices of digital journalism to students. The course is therefore designed to contribute to the students’ storytelling, news writing, research and reporting skills as well as introduce them to new techniques of journalism in digital sphere. By the end of the semester, students will be able to produce news across various digital platforms.
