Recommended Optional Program Components: | The optional program components for the Audiology for Speech and Language Therapy course provide additional activities and materials to help students better understand audiological assessment and intervention processes. These components may include practical exercises on hearing aid and implant applications, audiological assessment simulations, case analyses, and group discussions. Additionally, reviewing current research and developing therapy plans for individuals with hearing loss can also be part of the program. |
Course Objectives: | The purpose of this course is to provide basic-level knowledge about hearing disorders and their diagnosis. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; 1) Understands the definition of hearing loss and its types. 2) Knows the treatment methods for hearing loss. 3) Is familiar with hearing aid and implant applications. 4) Understands language development in children with hearing loss. |
The Audiology for Speech and Language Therapy course focuses on the identification, assessment, and rehabilitation of hearing loss. The course covers hearing aids and implant applications, the impact of hearing loss on language development, and audiological assessment methods. Additionally, it addresses the relationship between speech and language therapy and audiology, as well as intervention methods used for individuals with hearing loss. |
