Recommended Optional Program Components: | The optional program components for the course on Linguistic Foundations of Interpersonal Communication provide additional activities and materials to help students better understand communication processes from a linguistic perspective. These components may include case studies, group discussions, projects analyzing the impact of language use in interpersonal communication, and simulations. Additionally, the program may feature the review of current research articles on interpersonal communication and practical workshop activities. |
Course Objectives: | The purpose of this course is to provide knowledge about the fundamental concepts of linguistics, to highlight the role of linguistics in interpersonal communication, and to establish a foundational understanding of all components of language. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; 1. Learns basic-level information about linguistics. 2. Describes the components of language and the features of language form, content, and use. 3. Gains knowledge about phonetics and phonology. 4. Can discuss basic morphological features. 5. Describes basic syntactic features. 6. Explains fundamental semantic properties. 7. Defines basic pragmatic features. 8. Explains language acquisition theories and their reflections in intervention programs. 9. Analyzes the language outputs of typical and atypical individuals. |
