Course Objectives: The course aims to improve the communication skills of students, analyze the relationship between stress and organizational stress management and personal structure, and develop communication skills that will turn into lifelong gains.
In the course, you will be taught how to understand how stress arises through class exercises and readings, and how to apply stress management principles to achieve high performance.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Students analyze their own communication methods
2. To raise awareness of the differences and boundaries between communication and relationship.
3. Students gain awareness about communication theories and mass communication.
4. Students learn about stress.
5. Students gain stress management skills as individuals
6. By gaining information about stressors, students gain awareness of the stressors in their own lives and in the social environment.
7.To enable students to gain skills in the impact and management of organizational stress in their working lives.
8.Understand the complex relationship between stress and physical health

Course Content

In this course the relation between communication and stress management will be defined. Type of communication, communication problems, nature of stress, stress-related communication problems, personality and social factors in stress management will be analyzed.
The teaching methods to be used in the course are as follows:
Lecture: Theoretical information about communication and the connection between communication and stress, transfer of information about awareness,
Discussions: Discussions about the flow of daily communication, good examples and bad examples
Case analysis: Analysis of communication language in cases affecting our daily lives in the media and social media, group discussion
Research: Article research and readings on the topics to be given
