Course Objectives: | The main objective of this course is to provide relevant practical insights to international trade and business students to better understand the reasons behind successes and failures that have actually taken place in international business cases. The students are expected to analyze and develop their own points of views on those cases based on their theoretical knowledge accumulated during the first three years of the department’s curriculum. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; 1. Analyzes international business cases to identify the reasons behind successes and failures, using their theoretical knowledge from prior coursework. 2. Understands the impact of globalization on international business operations and strategies. 3. Evaluates how different cultural, governmental, and legal systems influence international business practices. 4. Understands the theories related to trade, factor mobility, and trade protectionism, and apply these concepts to real-world cases. 5. Assesses the role of ethics and social responsibility in international business decision-making. 6. Develops strategies for entering and competing in global markets, including understanding the various modes of trading and international marketing strategies. |
The course provides an in-depth analysis of real-world cases in international trade and business, emphasizing problem-solving and strategic decision-making skills. The teaching methods of this course include technology-assisted learning and lecture. |
