Course Content

POV Department’s core theoretical, aesthetic and technical courses such as Photography and Digital Image Processing have still image as their main emphasis. Video as one of the two main paths of the program is carried out with courses such as Basics of Video and TV Techniques and Digital Video Editing. Nevertheless, video path should be enhanced by components such as storyboarding which is sequentially laying out the visual characteristics of moving image; basic sound design which is the design of one of the main components of video; and new media applications, which is the interdisciplinary combination for the exhibition of different kinds of imagery and sound with or without interactivity. All these are crucial for the students to take their technical skills to an advanced level while also broadening their intellectual scope by specializing on different areas.
