Course Objectives: The main objective of this course is to define the basic terms of labor law basically individual labour law such as employee, employer and employment contract and to discuss the types, rights and obligations based on employment contracts as well as the legal consequences of the termination of them.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Defines the basic terms of Labor Law such as employer, emloyee, subcontractor and quasi emloyee.
2. Determines the types of employment contracts and analyzes the conditions and consequences of each type.
3. Distinguishes employment contracts from the other contracts which contain the obligation to perform work.
4. Defines the rights and obligations of the employee based on the employment contract.
5. Defines the rights and obligations of the employer based on the employment contract.
6. Analyzes the obligations of the employee after the termination of the employment contract.
7. Analyzes the features of the employee who have labour security.
8. Determines the wages, severence pays and compensations and states the amounts.
9. Evaluates the termination of the employment contract by the employee or employer and its legal consequences.
10. Analyzes the regulations about working and resting times.
