Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course; 1. Have the knowledge of the main terminology of cinema and media studies. 2. Will be able to analyze films and media products according to official terminology. 3. Have the knowledge of of main theories and movements of cinema and media studies. 4. Will be able to make presentations of films and media products in respect to an academic language and terminology. |
Course Content
| The central focus of the course will be on the intellectual and material histories of cinema studies and media studies as disciplines (and their recent convergence), including the development of different models of film study (film as art, culture, industry, etc.); the development of classical film theory and film criticism; feminist film theory; and the mutual influence of other disciplines in relation to the study of cinema and media. |
