Profile of the Program

Cognitive Neuropsychology Master's Program, which is the first in Turkey, was created based on the developments in the branches in the world where the brain and behavior relations are examined, the interest and need in this field. Due to the subject and scope of the program, the interdisciplinary approach was taken as a basis, and the curriculum and contents were prepared accordingly. The courses that make up the program's structure cover the fields of Cognitive Psychology, Neuropsychology, Genetics, Biology, Physiology, Neurology and Biomedical Engineering. In addition, the elective courses in the program are formed in groups (modular) to include the applications in this field. For this purpose, it is aimed that students have the appropriate courses and relevant application skills for their post-graduate career plans. Thus, there are a number and variety of methods to cover each of the sub-disciplines that make up the program. In addition, students are provided with extensive laboratory facilities in the program. There are Brain and Cognition Research Laboratory, Color Perception Laboratory and Basic Molecular Biology and Genetics Laboratory that students can benefit from both during the course and the thesis period. Within the scope of the 'Field Study' course to be taken in the second year of the program, students will be able to participate in projects in the mentioned laboratories based on their career planning, or they will have the opportunity to make an applied and supervised neuropsychological evaluation in neurology clinics.
