Profile of the Program

Bahçeşehir University Conservatory’s Department of Music Technology aims to train graduates who are well-versed in both the theoretical and practical aspects of sound physics and audio processing, basing its education on the stages of music production, including recording, sound editing, mixing, and mastering. By combining core education with elective courses in their area of specialization, students are expected to evaluate sound technologies from both musical and engineering perspectives and develop projects accordingly. The Music Technology Bachelor's Program aims to teach its graduates the stages of music production, including recording, mixing, mastering, and the working systems of post-production studios, as well as the principles and techniques of sound physics and audio processing, with applications on current digital and analog systems. It also seeks to equip students with advanced skills in using software tools in this field. The program provides the vision and competency to develop projects in areas such as sound-based interactive design, digital instrument design, sonic arts application and design, music information retrieval applications, spatial audio mixing, and musical acoustics. Additionally, it aims to enable students to follow continuously evolving music and audio transmission media and to perform production applications under appropriate conditions.
