Course Objectives: | To provide a framework for the comprehension and discussion of recent design works around the world at different scales through the study of the motivations and conceptual grounds operating as specific approximations or attractors of thought that are referred to as certain contemporary approaches in different cultural formations. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; 1. Analyze contemporary design works. 2. Differentiate design approaches in contemporary design works. 3. Develop a critical approach to contemporary design practices and discourses. 4. Aesthetic evaluation and critique of design products within conceptual grounds. 5. Identify the multi-layered complexity of design phenomena. |
