Course Objectives: The purpose of the Clinical Assessment Methods in Speech and Language Therapy course is to enable students to learn the scientific and clinical methods used in the evaluation of speech and language disorders. The course introduces the tools and techniques used in assessment processes, teaches how to apply these techniques to different types of disorders, and explains how to interpret the findings. Additionally, it aims to develop skills in creating individualized assessment plans and deriving results to guide the therapy process.

Course Content

The Clinical Assessment Methods in Speech and Language Therapy course aims to teach the fundamental methods and tools used to evaluate language, speech, voice, and swallowing disorders. The course covers standardized tests, observation techniques, and data analysis methods utilized in assessment processes. Additionally, it focuses on creating individualized assessment plans and guiding therapy based on evaluation findings. The course aims to equip students with the ability to conduct professional assessments within ethical guidelines and develop multidisciplinary approaches.
