Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to develop musicianship skills through practices like sight reading, melodic and rhythmic dictations.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
At the end of this course, the students will able to associate the mental and physical aspects of music and they will able to sight sing a written music with correct rhythm and pitch. To reach the aforementioned level extra materials will be provided by the instructor.

3) P: Lavignac, sight rhythm, seventh chords and the first inversions, duets L: all the inversions (ascending and descending tritone), chords, harmonic dictation
4) P: Lavignac, scales and intervals, two parts sight singing play and sing L: Rhythmic dictation, chords and intervals (up and down), desc.TT, melodic dictation, error detection
5) P: Lavignac, sight rhythm, scales (modes), diff. clef sight singing, duets L: melodic and harmonic dictation (cadences), all the seventh chords and the fist inversion of D7, intervals (down TT), modes.
