Course Objectives: This course aims to show how meaning is created in digital media by studying the fundamental rules of the grammar of cinema. Starting with the general aspects of narrative theories, the course will move on to take each basic component of mise-en-scene and cinematography and explain how they are used to convey information in digital media's narrative structures, especially in videogames'.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) Have knowledge about contemporary narrative techniques.
2) Analyze new media products and obtain new gains.
3) Gain the ability to research and interpret the visual language and visual language formations.
4) Learn about the stimulation of emotions with visual expression.

Course Content

Digital Storytelling course examines the theoretical information on new media products in detail and aims to inform students about narrative techniques in current and different media.
