Course Objectives: | In this course, it is aimed to teach students the physical and chemical properties and usage areas of the materials used in the field of dental prosthesis technology. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; 1. Will be able to define the structure, biological effects and application areas of materials used in the production of dental prostheses. 2. Will be able to distinguish and apply the usage areas of plaster, dental wax and investments. 3. will be able to distinguish the properties and production techniques of metals and alloys used in the production of dental prostheses. 4. Will be able to define the structure of dental impression materials and determine the appropriate model production stages. 5. Will be able to define the structure and basic properties of dental porcelains and select application areas. 6. Will be able to define the basic properties of CAD/CAM materials and select application areas. 7. will be able to distinguish the properties of denture base materials, soft lining materials and artificial teeth and select application areas. |
