Course Objectives: The aim of this course; gaining knowledge about motor development characteristics of 0-8 years old children; determining games and activities to improve basic movement skills; planned the knowledge gained with 3-8 years old children.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
By the end of course successful students will be able to; aware of motor development characteristics of 0-3 years old , aware of motor development characteristics of 3-6 years old , aware of motor development characteristics of 6-8 years old.
Knowledgeable about motor development theories - motor development periods - fundamental movement skills and able to plan movement activities for 3-8 years old children, able to assess and evaluate fundamental movement skills of 3-8 years old children.

Course Content

Motor development characteristics in early childhood period, fundamental movement skills, learning motor skills, development of materials, specific learning methods for movement education, planning movement activities, assessment and evaluation of fundamental movement skills.
