Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to teach contemporary macroeconomics and finance theory with an emphasis on applications.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1)Understand the evolution of macroeconomics
2)Understand the basic models to explain dynamics of economic growth, inflation and unemployment
3)Analyze and evaluate models explaining public finance sustainability, foreign exchange determination and asset price determination
4)Understand, evaluate and criticize models that are explaining the effects of nominal and real shocks on the economy.

Course Content

This course covers the generally accepted macroeconomic models of such as growth, open economy and the intersection of financial markets and money markets.
