Course Objectives: The aim of the course is to gain knowledge and skills of definition of the physical and electrical therapeutic modalities; application of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, selection of the appropriate treatment for the problem, decission of using treatment modalities.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Combine electrotherapy with other physiotherapy approaches.
2. Explain the treatment protocols.
3. Prepare the electrotherapy modalities for treatment.
4. Give examples about electrotherapy technologies.
5. Select evidence based approaches in electrotherapy.

Course Content

This course contains; short-wave diathermy, long-wave diathermy, microwave diathermy, ultrasound, biofeedback, laser, magnetotherapy, micro current, extracorporeal shock wave therapy, high voltage galvanic stimulation, transcranial magnetic stimulation, transcranial direct current stimulation and whole body vibration therapy
