Highway elements and related concepts, driver-pedestrian-vehicle characteristics, general characteristics of highway traffic. Highway geometric standards and project traffic. Capacity, route and plan. Cross-section and vertical curves, horizantal curves, urban roads. Intersection control and planning. Soil engineering in highway design. Drainage.
