Course Objectives: | Giving quantitative knowledge about the relationship between economics and transportation which is a sub component of service sector and introduction of some evaluation methods for making choices among the investment alternatives. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; Giving detailed information about: Basic economics, transportation and economics, transportation demand, transportation and urban/regional development, direct costs of transportation, external costs of transportation, pricing of transportation services |
Main Principles Economics, Market Forces of Supply and Demand, Elasticities, Consumers, Costs of Production and Market Structures. Income Distribution, National Income Accounting, Inflation, Production, Growth and Unemployment, Saving, Open and Closed Economy Models. |
