The purpose of the Medical Laboratory Techniques Program is to educate qualified Medical Laboratory Technicians who are capable of performing laboratory analyses in accordance with current scientific knowledge and professional standards; effectively using laboratory instruments and technologies; adhering to quality management and biosafety principles; demonstrating commitment to professional ethics; working effectively as members of multidisciplinary healthcare teams; and embracing lifelong learning in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment processes of healthcare services.
