Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to question the relation between literature and society, to demonstrate the way society is reflected in literary works made up of different types of literature, to determine the aspects these correspond with the real life and to display the way literature leads and changes the society

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
By the end of this course students are expected to be able to question the relation between literature and society, and they are also expected to identify and discern the role of literature and the way it leads and changes the society by making use of comparative methods

Course Content

Studying texts chosen from Turkish and World literature with their relation to the connection between literature and society and displaying real life correspondences of social reflections in these works and displaying the role of literature in social transformation, form the basis of this course
