Course Objectives: This course covers a comprehensive overview of mobile operating systems, application development, augmented reality, location based services, near-field communications (NFC), html 5.0 coded applications, and social networking based mobile applications.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
The students will learn the state-of-the-art mobile operating systems and applications. In this course, the students are expected to acquire a valuable knowledge on fundamentals of mobile application development as well as get a basic understanding of augmented reality, location based services, and near-field communications (NFC). In addition, they will gain hands-on experience in programming and setting up the most popular mobile operating systems developed by different manufacturers, such as Apple iOS 4.0, BlackBerry OS, Android OS, Nokia Ovi, and Samsung Bada.
