Course Objectives: | The course will analyze the philosophical and practical aspects underpinning the modern international law system through an analysis of international courts and tribunals. The Course will evaluate the institutional framework of international courts in conjunction with the major cases dealt by such institutions. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; I. Recognize basic philosophical theories on global justice II. Recognize the role international jurisprudence plays in conflicts between States III. Name the major international jurisdictions IV. Recognize the scope and limitations of international jurisdictions V. Recognize the relationship between international justice and power VI.
