Course Objectives: The goal of this course is to provide students with the theoretical reseach knowledge they would need when conducting a mass communication research. Hence the main goal of this course is to teach them the various quantitative techniques they might use when conducting a research.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
I. To differentiate between various quantitative research techniques.
II. To use various quantitative research techniques in accordance in order to solve a given communication problem.
III.To explain the theoretical backgrounds of various quantitative research techniques
IV. To use SPSS in order to analyze quantitative research techniques
V. To use Lisrel software in order to conduct structural equation models

Course Content

Quantitative research techniques, and quantitative data analyzes. The course will be on pozitivist approach. With this point of view, the various analyzing techniques will be studied.
