Course Objectives: | With developing technologies, energy needs are getting increase. Analyzing of power systems becomes more complicated. Instead of old version studies of analyzing methods, nowadays computer based power analysis is important. Therefore, the aim of course is to analyze power systems by advanced computer methods. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; 1) Increase the student's capability of power systems analysis 2) Gain experience with software simulation and analysis 3) Have good analytical understanding and a practical understanding of system behaviors and interactions between the equipment and components |
Phasor analysis, transformer basics, synchronous machines, transmission lines and modelling, admittance matrix, calculation methods of faults, load flow, economic dispatch and stability. |
