Course Objectives: | The historical development of the definition of sport, purpose of sport, its sociological role, economic structure, its components and the sport ecosystem. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; In this course the students: 1- Learns the definitions of sport and what activities are considered sport. 2- Investigates sport in terms of evolutionary psychology, and its relation to religious rituels. 3- Defines the activities that accompany sport. 4- Investigates the sport in civilizations throughout the history. 5- Discusses the relation between sport and philosophy, psychology and sociology. 6- Defines the components of modern sport (sport ecosystem). |
