Course Objectives: | The aim of this course; to define and classify tooth caries, to teach the reasons of caries, to perform cavity preparations in the correct working position; recognizing adhesive restorative materials and procedures, distinguishing, and treating non-carious cervical lesions, and explaining the approach to dentin hypersensitivity |
The students who have succeeded in this course; Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to do the following. 1- To define the principles of adhesive cavity preparations 2- To classify caries formation and theories 3- To learn the relationship between caries and cariogenic bacterial plaque, saliva, nutrition, and microorganisms 4- To identify enamel, dentin, cement caries and features of dental caries 5- To learn adhesion and adhesive dental restoratives and equipment in dentistry 6- To know the restorative applications performed on teeth that have lost excessive substance 7- To learn the determination of caries risk and to define saliva analysis, diet analysis and caries activity tests 8- To learn the definition, classification, and treatment alternatives of non-carious lesions of the teeth and dentin hypersensitivit |
