Course Objectives: Recognize the tools of low vision and the structure of the telescope, the structure of magnifiers, the magnifying glasses.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1) To have knowledge about low vision and low vision aids and their fitting techniques.
2) To have knowledge about manufacture of spectacle lenses and able to use this knowledge at sales presentations.
3) Able to do eyeglass mounting expertly and adaptate it to the wearer.
4) To have knowledge about prismatic lenses and able to make fitting them to the frames.

Low vision and low vision rehabilitation, Low Vision Aids: Glasses I, Low Vision Aids: Glasses II, Low Vision Aids: Hand Magnifiers, Low Vision Aids: Foot Magnifiers, Low Vision Aids: Loops, Low Vision Aids: Telescopes, Low Vision Aids : Bioptics, Low Vision Aids: Telemicroscopes, Low Vision Aids: Intraocular Lenses, Non Optical Low Vision Aids: Illumination, Non Optical Low Vision Aids: Perforated Glasses, Non Optical Low Vision Aids: Projection Tools, Non Optical Low Vision Aids: Braille Alphabet.
