Course Objectives: The main aim of this lecture is teaching to classification and identification of the lens to teach dioptrics of lenses according to the characteristics of lenses and glasses frames.

The students who have succeeded in this course;
Learning Outcomes
1) explain the procedure of measuring of lens by sphermeter, recognition and neutralization of lenses.
2) recognize the focometer and prismas.
3) define the lenses in terms of their chemical structures.
4) Recognize the Polaroid lenses.

Course Content

This course contains; 1. Classification and properties of lenses,2. Definition of diopter and formulation of the diopter,3. Deffects of Refractive,4. Correction of axle concept and astigmatism,5. Transpose,6. Recognition and measurement of lenses,7. Techniques of using of Focometer,8. Introduction of glasses frames,9. Identification of diopter power lenses and axle,10. Frame selection and adjustment,11. PD detection distance and the installation height,12. Markürlenmesi lenses , drawing and Shaving,,13. Forces in different meridians diopter lenses,14. Maintenance of the optical tools, hand tools and materials in the opticianry.
