Course Objectives: |
This course analyzes the sociological dynamics of modern Turkish society. A critical evaluation of Turkish modernity will be our main task. The readings and class discussions will describe social, cultural, and economic transformations. We will cover topics like nationalism, industrialization, class, gender, religion, and culture. |
