Course Objectives: The main aim of the course is to develop teacher candidates? implementing sensory development programs, and preparing development support activities.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. They learn basic definitions of sensation and perception.
2. Learn the factors affecting the perception.
3. Learn the development of 7 Senses? process and properties.
4. Learn how to apply activities that promote the development of 7 senses.

Course Content

Conceptual framework: Concept of sense, development of senses, development of perception; function of sensory systems; sensory awareness in early period, and importance of sensory education in development, regulation of educational environments to support sensory awareness, materials and use; the role of the teacher in sensory education, planning, implementation and evaluation of sensory activities in the educational program.
