Course Objectives: Train informed and conscious health manpower issues such as workers' health and dimensions, qualifications and the importance of workers' health, practices of the occupational health and safety at workplaces, policies for risk groups, worker’s health in terms of ocupational health nurse, work safety legislation, physiological stress and ergonomics at work, nutrition of the worker, overview of occupational diseases, work hygiene and chemical factors, physical factors at work, overview of the workplace accidents, the organization of the first aid and first aid training in the workplace, adopt the occupational nursing role and duties

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1 Know the concepts related to occupational health and safety nursing

2 Understand the importance of the legislations related to occupational health and workplace safety

3 Know the legislation and practices for risk groups working in the workplace

4 Understand the importance and domain of occupational accidents and diseases

5 Know ergonomic approach in terms of worker health and safety

6 Provide training to employees on ergonomic approach in terms of worker health and safety

7 Understand the importance of human factor in occupational diseases risks

8 Provide training to employees in terms of occupational diseases

9 Determine the health risks which employees exposured in the workplace

10 Produce solution against to the health risks which employees exposured in the work place

11 Determine the level of the worker's health, take advantage of the records and statistics

12 Apply first aid

13 Understand the importance of nutrition and health of worker

Course Content
