Course Objectives: To provide those, who will intervene in cases of
accident and injury, playing a determining role in
maintenance of life, injury prevention and
shortening the healing process.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
At the end of this course, student will be able to,
1. explaine the general concepts of first aid.
1.1. defines first aid
1.2. recognizes the systems that make up the
body
1.3. describes the steps of the initial assessment
of the injured
1.4. defines the basic life support
2. summarize the first aid to be applied on
traumas
3. summarize the techniques for carrying patient
and wounded.

General first aid information
Assessment of the patient/wounded and the scene of accident
Basic life support
First aid in case of bleeding
First aid in case of injuries
First aid in case of burning, freezing an hot shocks
First aid in case of fracture, dislocations an sprains
General review
First aid in case of disorders of consciousness
First aid in case of poisoning
First aid in case of animal bite
First aid for a foreign object in ear, npse an deye
First aid in suffocation
The carrying techniques of patient/wounded
