Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
1. Student has information about the health care technology.
2. Knows the effects of the health care technologies on patients.
3. Knows the duties and responsibilities of biomedical services.

Course Content

Medical technologies in the historical course of medicine, development of technology and health care technologies, nanotechnology, biomedical technology, introduction to medical devices, ECG device, importance of advanced mattress systems / lift systems, defibrillators, innovations in the surgical care systems, fetal monitor, innovations in the operating theatre technologies, new-generation endovision systems, vital signs & in-patient follow-up, patient care, high-tech new generation supplies, infusion pumps, vessel detection device, innovations in home-care technologies, CIS (Clinical Information Systems) in the intensive care units.
