| Dersin Amacı: | Bu derste öğrenciler sosyolojik bir yöntem olarak yürümeyi ve İstanbul'un 1950'lerden sonra ama özellikle 1980'lerden sonra Türkiye'de uygulanan neoliberal ekonomi politikalarının etkisiyle geçirdiği dönüşümü öğreneceklerdir. Ders sadece İstanbul ya da kent sosyolojisi ile ilgili değil, aynı zamanda yürümek, deneyimlemek ve bu deneyimi sosyolojik tahayyül için bir kaynak olarak kullanmakla ilgilidir. Bu açıdan derse aktif katılım, İstanbul'da haftada en az 2-3 saatlik yürüyüşler yapılmasını gerektirmektedir. Ders boyunca öğrencilere İstanbul'un ve İstanbulluların dönüşümünü kentte gezinirken anlamanın yollarının gösterilmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Ders, öğrencilere bir yöntem olarak yürüme, kentleşme, kentsel dönüşüm, kentsel yenileme, yerinden edilme ve farklılaşma gibi kavramları tanıtmayı amaçlamaktadır. |

Bu dersi başarıyla tamamlayabilen öğrenciler; Bu dersin sonunda öğrencilerin kazanımları şunlar olacaktır: 1. Sosyolojik bir yöntem olarak yürüyüşün ne olduğunu anlamak, 2. İstanbul örneği ile kentsel mekânın dönüşümü hakkında bilgi edinmek 3. İstanbul'un küreselleşmeden ekonomik ve mekânsal olarak nasıl etkilendiğini görmek 4. Önemli kent sosyolojisi okumalarını anlamak 5. Kentsel bağlamda sosyolojik hayal gücü kapasitesini artırmak. |
Dersin İçeriği
| Bu derste öğrenciler sosyolojik bir yöntem olarak yürümeyi ve 1950'lerden sonra, ama özellikle 1980'lerden sonra Türkiye'de uygulanan neoliberal ekonomi politikalarının etkisiyle İstanbul'un dönüşümünü öğreneceklerdir. Bu dersin öğretim yöntemleri işbirlikli öğrenme, ders anlatımı, okuma, tartışma, proje, saha gezisi, saha çalışması ve bireysel öğrenme yöntemleridir. |
