Course Objectives: Objectives of this course are to introduce basic knowledge about basic concepts for Women's Health and Women's Health Nursing, and to enable students to gain knowledge and skills for women's health protection and promotion in accordance with health indicators through a holistic approach, and care during pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal period, family planning and reproductive health practices.

Learning Outcomes

The students who have succeeded in this course;
The students who have succeeded in this course will be able to;
1. Explain the basic concepts and indicators of women's health.
2. Describe the principles for women's health protection and promotion.
3. Classify women’s life stages.
4. Develop a care plan for women planning pregnancy, during labor and postpartum period focusing on women and their infants.
5. Explain the care principles in for common gynecological problems.
6. Explain the treatment of infertility and assisted reproductive techniques.
7. Develop an education plan about family planning and reproductive health.

Course Content

The course covers the topic about the basic concepts and theories related to women's health, women's life stages, women's health protection and promotion, perinatal care, sexuality, and family planning practices, counseling and education, infertility, and care for reproductive tract infections, gynecologic and gynecologic oncology diseases.
