Course Objectives: | The objective of this course is to focus on the position of transportation in logistics, explain the transportation modes and problems and analyze them. An another objective is to develop an understanding of the methods used in the transportation planning in an applied way. |
The students who have succeeded in this course; Students, who passed the course satisfactorily can: -Understand the role of transportation in logistics -Grasp the modes of transportation and the steps to decide which mode to select -Model the fundamental transportation problems and use the basic methods to solve them. |
